Each state is required through the United States Constitution and the State Department of Education to provide the free education for the children and also to maintain the methods of management and financing of the schools.
Basically, the educational plans and the ways of administrating and financing for them are regulated by the U.S. Department of Education which is the executive department of the federal government. State authority has the power to regulate private schools and home schools. In the case of home schools in some states parents are required to register their intend for providing home education with the local district school board or with the state department of education.
Through the "Individuals with Disabilities Education Act" the Education Law establishes the process for the educating and the development of children with special needs and provides for their individual educational plans. |
